國立臺灣師範大學歷史悠久，在藝術(美術、音樂等)創作、華語文教學、教育等領域，擁有許多豐富的基礎與資源。為有效整合校內各單位已具發展基礎之相關資源，特於民國99年成立師大圖書館出版中心，針對校內寶貴的資源與內容商業化，進而發展各類型的新產品與新服務，並透過各種通路行銷至市場，逐步打造「師大」品牌。

出版中心營業項目規劃如下：

  • 圖書出版業：負責本校紙本及數位出版品、資料庫及教材教輔的編輯、出版、銷售工作。
  • 有聲出版業：從事雷射唱片、錄音帶、唱片等出版及銷售之行業。
  • 文教、樂器、育樂用品批發／零售業 ：販賣圖書、文具（紙製品、辦公用品、事務用品、學生用品、書法美術、休閒用品、各式筆類以及各式卡片）、本校紀念品、各式文化創意商品、多媒體等商品。
  • 智慧財產權業：各種專利權、商標權、著作財產權、營業秘密、電路布局權及其他無形資產等之買賣、鑑價及其授權業務。

出版中心草創初期，將以穩紮穩打的模式進行，以精美及創意的禮品、紀念品為初期營運的重點，並搭配科普教育出版品、教材教具，再逐年規畫具師大特色的出版品，期許未來成功打造師大品牌，開創大學出版新藍海。

National Taiwan Normal University Press is established to properly integrate the resources in every department with an aim to commercialize its valuable resources and contents and to develop new products and services. Moreover, we market our products in many channels, developing the brand “National Taiwan Normal University,” under which we publish academic writings, design gifts with cultural creativity, market and sell publications and gifts, and manage Wen-Huei Hall , etc.
